What if we let a kid’s perspective take
center stage?
Our mission with leading a 100cameras Snapshot Project is to teach children who have been through much difficulty and living in concentrated areas of poverty in Dhaka how to process and tell their stories through photography in a way that impacts how they view themselves and their communities. We believe this opportunity will equally provide a platform to visually express injustices occurring in this under-documented place in the world.
Our vision and hope is that the children will be empowered to learn that they can shape their own futures through learning how to use their unique experiences under difficult circumstances to look forward. By producing creative pieces of work that will not only give them a sense of ownership, we believe this also opens up the space for new perspectives -- that are often hidden yet very well deserving -- to be shared with the world.
